Update function stopped working

Since today the update function is not working anymore.

I have Product version 9.0.0.382 26-8-2009 of Avira Premium Security Suite.

Nothing has changed on my Vista Ultimate 64bit SP1 installation.

Manual updating the virus definitions still works.

I have tried repairing the installation and even a full uninstall/install which took me al lot of my time.

What next?

I do have a valid licence file.

Is this the quality of avira?

Wow, i am overwhelmed with all the response to my avira problems, NOT.

Not a single replay from avira about my problems.

Not by email, and not in this forum.

Apparently is paying for software to a german software company not enough to get support when their software is failing big time.

Where is my support?
What shoud i do to get my customer support?
Pay more money?
Buy your failing software again, and see it fail again?
What?

For help from a Forum administrator I suppose that you have to wait until Monday morning (CET).

Yes i know all about the forum policy and avira help hotline and email contacts

Before posting my message on this forum i knew i was going to get a lecture about forum policies instead of getting actual help.

But this was my last resort.

I tried getting help via the avira website and email contacts, but until now no such luck.

And i am not willing to pay more money by calling a hotline trying to get their defective software product to actually work.

So i will wait some more, and hope and prey for a solution than.

Hello :)

Please try this command and see if it works:

"C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\update.exe" /DM="0" /NOMESSAGEBOX /receivetimeout=120 Make sure the " is there and if you are on Vista be sure to run Command Prompt as Administrator!

If you still cannot update then something may have gotten around Avira.. Please download MalwareBytes and do a scan with it.
