- Archive scanning for On-Access Scanner AVGuard
Now you've got the possibility to check archives with the Guard, without extracting it. This increases the security of your system.

- - limitation of the archive recursion depth
- - limitation of the maximum number of files to extract
- - limitation of the maximum bytes to extract from an archive
- - Skipping files with a compression ratio > 150 (if available)
Please, note: This feature is disabled by default because of performance reasons.

Now the status panel of the control center has a new entry called "last complete system scan". Like all the other status panel entries the colour of its icon shows the different states:
- green: The last system scan is younger or equal than one week and no malware has been found.
- yellow: The last system scan is older than 1 week but younger or equal than one month. No malware has been found.
- red: The last system scan is older than one month or not performed yet or the last scan has found some malware.
- Cross upgrade between different products
If setup detects an existing AntiVir installation, it offers to upgrade or downgrade it. Setup will uninstall the existing installation, reboot the system and install the new product.

All services after this release will have process protection activated. This means that they can not be killed or shut down from any other process, user or tool. This option is enabled by default for all products but can be disabled.

- WebGuard
- WebGuard is a new module that offers HTTP protection
- WebGuard is browser independent and acts as a transparent local HTTP
proxy
- WebGuard is very fast. However, at the beginning it seems as the internet connection is slower than before because the website does not appear bit by bit. First of all the WebGuard will cache the website for scanning and will deliver it afterwards. That means the website appears at once.
Please note: WebGuard is a new feature which will be installed by default on new installations only. This means existing installations will get a slide-up which tells you about the new feature and asks for installation (same procedure as for rootkit scanning)

- During Game mode all existing adapter and application rules are normally applied.
- Only new applications are automatically allowed . No rules are saved for these new applications during game mode, they are only temporarily allowed.
Please, note: As new applications requesting internet access are automatically allowed (as long as game mode is active) game mode contains a potential security risk.
