I use a lot of portable apps and Avira is constantly going mental over them. (I use Thinstall and VMWare).
As I don't store any private information on my machine, I'll probably go without an AV, now.

The product was not designed like this, because it could be dangerous (for newbies) and anyone who forgot that they had added exceptions in that easy way.

For me, everything would be OK, if "Always ignore" meant "Always" and not "Until the next time".
Please revert to AntiVir version 9 to avoid this problem. Even I still use Avira 9 on my side.

I spent more time waiting for the so-called "System scan" to do it's thing, than I did using the app that I was trying to use.
Unfortunately, Opera has issues with this forum. Please use Internet Explorer or Firefox or an older version of Opera.

I wonder why it's impossible to post, here, using Opera....
I keep getting "The data you have entered is invalid. Please check the information you have given by the marked fields." even though it is.
Thanks for the good wishes.

Most odd.

Well, that option was there only in AntiVir 9, and it is no longer there in AntiVir 10. So there's no point discussing it, since the development of AntiVir 9 is already closed (except for any future critical issues / patches / program updates).

Maybe a warning with the relevant information could be made to pop up.
Something like "This MEANS "Always". Are you certain?".
It doesn't work for me either. So I'm still using Firefox.

With Opera v10.61, the problem persists, sadly.

I just PRAY THAT AVIRA IS PAYING ATTENTION to your lament and that of MANY MANY OTHER USERS.
PLEASE, Avira, give us a toggle switch, or a button to check in advanced mode, so that us more advanced users can turn OFF that ridiculous, extremely irritating Luke scan after Guard alerts. Otherwise, be prepared for a lot more posts like Katzy's (and for all those who just leave without bothering to come here and give feedback).
In fact, this issue has already been discussed in the forum. But there was no official response from Avira. We can only hope that such an option comes in the next version of AntiVir.

Seems that nobody's listening.
Or, maybe, nobody cares.![]()
