Avira wont update.

Can someone help. I've been using this for a long time and its the first time it wont update. It says last update needs a reboot but then it doesnt recognise the reboot. Here's the report summary.

Hi ManuDuggal,

please perform the following steps:

- open the "Avira Control Center"

- press "F8" to open the "Configuration"

- enable the "Expert Mode" at the top left corner

- click on "General -> Security"

- disable "Protect files and registry entries from manipulation"

- click on "Apply" at the lower right corner

- close the configuration with a click on "OK"

- delete the following file from your harddisk:

c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avira\Antivir

If you can't see the folder "application data" or "programdata then you
have to activate the hidden files and folders in Windows Control Panel
-> Folder Options.

- enable the "Product Protection again in the "Avira Configuration"
